Unrivaled Comfort With Marie Jo Lingerie

There’s nothing that makes a woman feel sexier than wearing a lingerie set under a slinky dress. But the struggle is keeping that feeling as that lingerie begins to scratch, bunch, and pull at our skin. Wouldn’t it be nice to just once have a sexy bra and brief that you don’t despise wearing?

Marie Jo lingerie combines beautifully crafted lingerie with unbeatable fit and comfort. Imagine wearing your every day tshirt bra but with a lacy, sexy makeover. Available in sizes ranging from a subtle A cup to a bodacious E cup, Marie Jo allows you to have a bra for every occasion.

We tried out the Jane collection in Melba, a peachy pink that was subtle enough to wear under white but offered a bit more pizazz than a basic white or nude bra. Offered in a romantic Natural, a refreshing white, an invisible dune, and a seductive black, Jane is both functional and seductive. The Jane padded cup bra offers a fine contemporary embroidery: a delicate flower stretches over the cup in a mat-gloss lace, mimicking real silk. The straps are adorned with a small ribbon bow and delicate pearls that we found showed up under tighter shirts. However the fit was unrivaled, since with the heart shaped cup style, the Jane is ideal for women who need better support and stronger lift. The straps can be worn over the shoulder or around the neck, making it a truly versatile bra. The totally smooth cup is very flattering, lifting and revealing more of the breast. The matching Jane Italian brief is a full brief that cuts a bit higher than we were interested in. They easily cover most of your stomach, reaching mid-waist to help shape the figure. Perhaps the right choice for your grannie, we felt these we a bit unflattering on a younger audience. The Jane padded bra and Italian brief a available online and in lingerie stores nationwide for just $123 and $65.

The next collection we sampled was the Joanne, a beautiful example of Swiss embroidery. Available in a tempting scarlet or an elegant sapphire, we opted for the unique scarlet which was advertised as a company special for Valentine’s Day! Adorned with embroidered ribbons throughout, the Joanne is both contemporary and retro. The Joanne balconette bra makes more of your breast size, however big or small. The horizontal neckline creates a rounder bust while the wider underwire shows off the breasts better than more traditional styles. The eye catching straps are elegant while still providing enough support and strength to last more than a season. We found the vertical seams in the unlined cup a bit obnoxious over time, but hopefully with a wash or two, this lace will soften. The matching Joanne hotpants were adorable with elegant embroidered ribbons on each hip that will make you feel super sexy every time you undress. Since they are opaque at the front and transparent in the back, these hotpants really are the best of both worlds. The Joanne bra and hotpants are available online and in lingerie stores nationwide at $144 and $67 respectively.

Overall, we were impressed with the elegant simplicity of the Marie Jo designs. Essentially, the collections offer a basic series of undergarments in a wide array of styles so that you can mix and match within the same color or print. While we weren’t itching to trade in all of our comfy tshirt bras just yet, these pieces did add to our lingerie collection nicely, giving us a sexy alternative to the same old. Available in lingerie stores nationwide.
