Venture Outdoors With The Cozy Craghoppers Kamala Fleece
As winter snow continues to fall, staying indoors looks very tempting. Three months of freezing temperatures, snow, wind and ice sound like the best excuse to cozy up to the fireplace with a good book and a mug of hot chocolate. But once the worst of the storms have passed, it’s time to reconsider.
With Craghoppers World Travel Clothing, you can enjoy heading outside into the snowy tundra. This versatile clothing was built to pack light and then keep you warm and dry during any adventure. Whether you plan on trekking through a snow drift, going ice skating, or even taking a quick vacation to summit a volcano, the fleece insulation that the Craghoppers Kamala Fleece Jacket is solid. For active use climbing or backpacking, this is a super year-round layering piece. Due to the incorporated ClimaPlus insulation, this jacket fits comfortably beneath a heavier-weight shell jacket but still retains maximum warmth at minimum weight. We loved that this warm jacket was still lightweight and breathable, allowing us to enter stores without immediately stripping off all our layers in frustration.
The material wicks impressively well, meaning that we stayed dry even during uphill exertions or during the mists and snowstorms recently. Constructed from feather-soft microfleece fabric, the jacket is plush enough to sleep in. The material has also held up well to some harsh urban conditions, and looks about the same as when it arrived. We were a bit concerned that the fleece might pill with heavy wear, but the jacket is still in great shape despite the friction under our heavier coats.
Since we are slowly (ever so slowly) transitioning into spring and alternately enjoying and cursing the snow and rain. It’s the perfect time to have an extra layer handy and we think that the Craghoppers Kamala Jacket is a wonderful breathable layer to always have nearby.
Originally $80, at press time the piece was on sale for $40.
